Columnist pays tribute to a hard worker in netball
NETBALL CHAT with Renae O’Dea
LINDA Bunch. Where do I start? Committed player, umpire and all-round hard worker for netball.
Every week Linda is at senior netball on Monday and Tuesday nights then at Saturday juniors.
Linda is an asset to Warwick netball the way she helps it all go.
Next time you see Linda, be sure to thank her for everything. I know I appreciate it all Linda. Thank you for all your hard work.
THE centre position in netball can be really easy for some and really challenging for others.
Jessica Carey is the type of person who makes playing centre look very easy.
Centre position can go everywhere on the court apart from both shooting circles. This means it involves 50 per cent attack and 50 per cent defence.
Jessica Carey is a committed player who can change from attack to defence with no hassles at all. She glides around the court and plays a big role in every game she plays. She is a great player to watch and an inspiration to many.
Play game out
PLAYING the game until the last whistle is a strong skill that many players struggle with.
Leanne Olsen is the best player for this. Her teams can be winning by 10 or losing by 10 and she never gives up.
Watching Leanne play shows what it is really like to love netball and want to be involved as much as you can.
She is a great player for being in position for passes from teammates and gaining the best position in the shooting circle. Keep it up Leanne.
