Comedy festival drops into Tenterfield for a laugh
TENTERFIELD is about to have a stomach achingly good time, with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival due to arrive in town.
From the wealth of comedy brilliance in Australia and beyond, the festival hand picks a unique line up of top comedians for each stop of the roadshow, and is back in 2016, rolling into more than 75 destinations across the country.
This year, the stops include Tenterfield, with the comedy performance going to stage at the Sir Henry Parks School of Arts.
The show will be on Wednesday, June 15, with the show starting at 8pm.
Roadshow 2016 features a diverse group of comedians covering all styles, and providing comedy lovers all over the country with a chance to see performers they may never have seen or heard of, but will definitely want to see again.
Comedians who will be visiting Tenterfield for the festival this year include Bob Franklin, Andrew Saunders, Urzila Carlson, Rhys Nicholson and Sam Taunton.
In previous years, the Roadshow performance has featured a great range of comedians and other big names people will now recognise from radio and television.
Discovering new gems and finding new favourite comedians is what Roadshow 2016 is all about.
It is sure to be a night that Tenterfield and surrounding towns will be talking about for months to come.
The show has received critical acclaim during its run around Australia so far.
“A couple of the funniest nights you’ll have this year.” Manning River Times (Taree)
“I almost passed out from laughter.” Harvey Mail, Bunbury (WA).
