Commemorative death certificates for Queensland veterans

THE families of Queensland veterans will now be able to buy commemorative death certificates, with proceeds donated to a charity that helps wounded soldiers.

Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie said veterans "put their lives on the line" to defend Australia's freedom, now they must be honoured and supported.

"These certificates are ideal for families of war heroes who wish to honour a fallen Digger in their family and they'll also bring comfort to current soldiers who have been hurt in action," he said.

They will be available for the four years of the Anzac Centenary.
