COMMENT: Coaches love the chance to see skills

WATCHING a team of girls playing netball and enjoying themselves is the best accomplishment for a coach knowing you have taught them new skills and seeing them enjoy their hard work.

The inter-district carnival showed this on Sunday. All teams had a great day and left with smiles on their faces. Annie Hume was a standout player on Sunday for Warwick 8.

She played hard all day and was able to finish with four intercepts in the last half of her last game.

Be Positive

KEEPING positive throughout a game is very important. The moment a player looses confidence within themselves or their team is when the mistakes keep happening. Just like any other sports, you need to believe in what you are doing and play your heart out each game.

Firebirds final

THE Queensland Firebirds played very well against the NSW Swifts on Monday night to win the Australian Conference.

Throughout the game, the Firebirds, led by Laura Geitz, had possession of the ball, switched into defence 100% and simply made it too hard for the Swifts to try and take the lead.

The next step for the Firebirds is to play the Southern Steel in a semi on Sunday.

If the Firebirds play like the way they did on Monday, they will win again. Having complete confidence in themselves is what will get them another victory.
