Community jumps on board for Jumpers and Jazz Festival

KARINA Devine and Rob Hamilton have been humbled by the community support for this year's Jumpers and Jazz festival.

When the future looked uncertain late last year community groups took up the cause.

"We've had some terrific support come forward; people volunteering their time and making donations," Mr Hamilton said.

"We've raised $5000 through Friends of the Festival, with many making anonymous donations."

This year the festival was successful in accessing Regional Art Development Fund funding, which will go towards paying for musicians.

The festival also has major sponsors in RACQ, the Jazz Music Institute, Ergon Energy, Warwick Credit Union and Oak Tree, as well as 19 local business supporters.

Ms Devine is also on the hunt for volunteers to join her Warwick Muscle crew to help set up and move chairs and stages.

Volunteers can sign up at Warwick Art Gallery.
