Community rallies behind first Allora Olympian
ATHLETICS: Southern Downs residents have supported the Matthew Denny To Rio fund to the tune of $1700 in one week.
As is the tradition on the Southern Downs, the community supports athletes at their first Olympics.
While his trip to the Olympics is paid, there are many out-of-pocket expenses for up-and-coming athletes which in Denny's case included a second trip to America in a two-month period to throw an Olympic qualifier.
