Competitors from far and wide target Warwick’s annual shoot

COMPETITORS travelled from as far as Blackwater and Mount Isa yesterday to compete in the Warwick Clay Target Club Annual Shoot.

Club president Mike Loy said the event has always been popular and the club has a strong following.

"People travel from all over just to come here for the day," he said.

"It was such a busy weekend on the Southern Downs but we still got a really good turnout."

The competition consisted of three main events.

Event one was the Williams Eggs Pointscore Championship, event two the Warwick Hotel Single Barrel Championship and event three the Warwick Outdoors and Sports Medley.

If you would like more information about the Warwick Clay Target Club, phone Mike Loy on 0429 617 624.

The Warwick club has a monthly shoot on the first weekend of each month.

It is located on Rosenthal Rd, Warwick.
