Conditions perfect for trail ride
LAST year's Leanne Hoffman Trail Ride was postponed twice due to bad weather, but that certainly wasn't the case for this year's event.
It was 29 degrees and there were clear skies as the troupe set off for the 14km trek at Emu Vale on Saturday - starting their journey by splashing through a shallow crossing.
But Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecaster Vinord Anand said the past few days of fine and sunny weather were not here to stay.
"There has been a bit of a change in the weather around there. You're getting a bit of cloud cover," Mr Anand said.
"There's been an increase in the south-east winds pushing moisture inland."
He said moisture would bring slightly lower maximum temperatures, dropping them down to 27 or 26 degrees for the rest of the week.
"But the effect of increasing moisture is the maximums drop but the minimum temperatures climb," Mr Anand said.
Last week's lows of seven degrees have been replaced by minimums of 14 degrees.
Mr Anand said the Rose City could expect some isolated showers from today.
"(Tomorrow) will be similar and Wednesday we are still looking at isolated showers in the area," he said.
"Thursday will be similar as well with the most showers on Wednesday and Thursday."
