Conditions testing at Cunningham polocrosse

UNSEASONABLE hot weather made conditions very uncomfortable for horses, players and spectators alike at the Cunningham Polocrosse Carnival held at the Bony Mountain Recreation Reserve at the weekend.

The multi-horse carnival was a good chance for players to test out young horses under some very tough conditions.

The Tansey Polocrosse Club continued its dominance of Queensland polocrosse taking out the A grade competition again at Cunningham.

They defeated Warwick in the final game of the A grade round robin on Sunday afternoon.

State players head to Albury for the 2016 Polocrosse Nationals next week, with the championships to commence on April 18 and run through to April 24.

The next carnival in south-east Queensland is the Chinchilla Club's first carnival of the season on April 16 and 17.

Results:

A Grade: won by Tansey 1, runner-up Warwick 1

B Grade: won by Guyra, runner-up Tansey 3

C grade: won by Tara, runner-up Chinchilla 1

D grade: won by Taroom, runner-up Cunningham 3
