NETBALL: Four weeks remain before the Warwick Netball Association senior competition is split between A and B grades for Monday night fixtures.

The match of the round in A/B grade this week resulted in Confro beating Pink Ladies 33-30.

The Confro team is a group of girls from Assumption College who will play in a state school carnival later in the year.

Pink Ladies led 8-7 at the first break before Confro led 18-17 and 26-22 at the next two breaks.

Association secretary Linda Bunch said the outstanding performance of the A/B grade competition on Monday night was the effort by Starbursts against A-grade premiers Hazards.

"Starbursts are the 14 years representative team in their first season in the senior competition.

"It was a huge night for them to come up against the premiers," Bunch said.

"Congratulations must go to their team and coaches Derek and Nicole Kane."
