Cooking up for a great fundraiser

THE Killarney Lions Club held another successful Daffodil Day Breakfast on Friday at the Killarney Bowls Club.

Lions Club president Glen Lamb said they served around 75 breakfasts along with sales of Daffodil Day merchandise.

Mr Lamb thanks the Killarney Bowls Club the use of the kitchen and dining room.

He also thanks the Killarney Newsagency, Killarney Butchery, Williams Eggs and the Killarney Co-op and associated suppliers to the Co-op who donated goods for the breakfast.

Glen said the Lions Club hoped to donate around $800 from the Daffodil Day Breakfast to the Queensland Cancer Council.

The Legume Community Church will hold a pre Father's Day Dinner this Saturday night at the Legume Hall with a three-course meal.

The evening starts at 6.30 for a 7pm dinner. The church holds the annual event with proceeds from this year's dinner going towards the toilet block the group will build at the Community Church.
