Cop facing Child Porn charges
A CONSTABLE from South Eastern Region has today been suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.
The officer, a 42 year-old man is subject to a criminal charge of distributing child exploitation material.
He is slated to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 23.
Earlier, Brisbanetimes.com.au also reported that a 42-year-old senior officer from Brisbane had been stood down-pending "allegations of inappropriately accessing and releasing confidential information and attempting to interfere in criminal investigations and proceedings,"
Queensland Police Media have confirmed that the incidents relate to two separate officers.
