Corella numbers soar in streets
THERE are only a handful of trees in the backyard of Tammy Woodrow's home, but of all the trees in Wallace St, they're the trees of choice for one noisy flock of corellas.
Though despite the layers of broken twigs and poo underneath the trees, not to mention the noise, they don't bother the Warwick mum.
"Early in the mornings they're at the (Condamine) River, then they come here about 7am," she said.
"They shred the trees but other than that they're all right.
"I don't really mind them - I think the bats are worse with the mess."
Mrs Woodrow has lived in the home for about 24 years and said corella numbers had never been so high.
"I don't know if it's because the golf club has been scaring them down here," she said.
"They also hang around (Australiana Park) a lot."
