Could be a cool, wet day for Boxing Day race goers
Advice from the Bureau of Meteorology is to rug up today with overcast and rainy skies set to drop today's temperature.
There's a high chance of storms across the region with light to moderate falls expected due to an unstable upper level trough.
"It doesn't look like it's going to be a nice day to be outside," forecaster Vinord Anand said.
"It will be wet and cloudy.
"The weekend will be similar too."
Today's temperature could be as high as 29 degrees; however Mr Anand said he doubts Warwick will reach it.
"The rain will definitely cool down the day," he said.
The weekend will be much milder with tops of 25 degrees forecast.
So far this month Warwick has recorded 155.4mm of rain.
The wettest December on record was 2010 with 282.4mm recorded.
