At least 30 candidates expected in Southern Downs election

WHEN Southern Downs voters get their ballot papers in the mail, there will be at least 30 names of candidates running for the eight councillor positions.

Of the eight serving councillors, six have announced they intend standing for another term.

The 2016 candidates include a number of candidates from previous elections, as well as some new faces.

Here's the field of candidates as it stands (in no particular order):
