Country musician Mal Lingard launches his debut CD

MAL Lingard has released his first CD at the monthly Warwick District Country Music Club Social at Slade Hall.

The launch was in front of a crowd of 110.

"My CD includes country music and a bit of blues," he said.

"Alan Taylor and Bronnie Rene were the backing vocals for the CD.

"I have dedicated it to my wife Carol, I worked on the CD for a year and it was recorded at AB Studios."

Club president Rod Petersen said Slade Hall was the ideal venue for the socials.

"We have been using the hall for eight to 10 years and are very grateful to Warwick Christian College for the use of the hall.

"In the past year, we have made a few improvements to the hall to improve the acoustics."

Members of the public are welcome to attend the socials on the second Sunday of each month at Slade Hall from 11am.
