Cowboys are confident as they host team with NRL star
RUGBY LEAGUE: The return of Josh Cruice and Craig Donn has boosted the Warwick Cowboys pack for four home games against Valleys at Father Ranger Oval tomorrow.
Cruice has been selected at lock and Donn will come off the bench.
Both have been out injured.
Donn has moved to the back row this season after playing fullback in last year's grand final.
"Craig was going well in the pack before he was injured,” coach Craig Mullaly said.
The coach said he wouldn't be underestimating Valleys.
"They have Brett Seymour who has played NRL and I am confident my inside backs Paul Cantwell and Brad Morrish can move up quickly on him,” he said.
"But our defence will need to be strong across the park.”
Mullaly is quietly confident of a win.
"It is a bonus to be at home; the boys enjoy Sunday afternoon footy,” he said.
After starting the season at prop, Dion Galloway is in the centres, a position he regularly filled in a long career with the Killarney Cutters. His brother Dylan is at fullback so watch for the pair to combine.
Warwick has two wins from four games so far this season.
With the new TRL fixture format where some teams only play each other once in the season and play others twice, the league has opted for a top six in the 11-club competition.
Despite the move from five to six teams for the finals, every team will want to have more wins than losses to guarantee a finals spot.
