Cowboys clean sweep in Saturday night footy
RUGBY LEAGUE: It was three wins to the Warwick Cowboys on Saturday night at Father Ranger Oval but a lot of the talk after the A-grade game was the enthusiasm and promise shown by a young Killarney combination on a day of trials for the 2016 season.
Warwick was presented with the Xylon Smith Memorial Shield after a 48-0 victory in A-grade.
In reserve grade, Warwick beat BRL team Inglewood 32-0 while Warwick beat Border 54-6 in the U18 game.
Tim Kelly scored the first try and first points for the Border team in its inaugural game in its first season as part of the Toowoomba competition.
Warwick plays Wattles at Clifton on Saturday in the Barrett Shield and then the TRL competition starts a week later.
