Cowboys colts face tough test against premiers Valleys in Warwick on Sunday

RUGBY LEAGUE: The Warwick Cowboys under-18 side has won five from five this season but face their toughest test on Sunday at Father Ranger Oval.

Warwick plays premiers Valleys at 11.30am and coach Matt Grew said his team had the ability to compete with every team in the competition.

“Valleys will again be the team to beat,” Grew said.

All squad members are available for selection this weekend.

Grew has appointed Jordyn Hogden as team captain after a strong start to the season at lock.

“Jordyn’s leadership ability brings out the best in all the younger players,” Grew said.

“They are all showing a lot of promise and have the abilty to play better footy in coming weeks.”

Kai Etherington is the team goalkicker and a prolific try scorer from wing.

He is building a good combination with left centre Isaac Chaffey.

The U18 squad will train at 6pm tomorrow.
