Cowboys colts side at full strength for semi final

RUGBY LEAGUE: Warwick Cowboys will be at full strength for this afternoon's under-18 TRL knockout semi final against Souths at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

Warwick went down to Souths in the first round but won the second-round U18s game at Father Ranger Oval.

"Souths has one of the best forward packs in the competition and I will be looking for props Coen Martin-Brown and Michael Coleman to really step up this weekend,” coach Matt Grew said.

"Every player will need to step up in defence as I rate Souths highly.

"We have had some players with the flu but by game time, I expect everyone to be right to play. there are no players with injury concerns.”

The Cowboys have 20 players qualified to play which is the allowed number for U18 finals footy.

Warwick plays in the early game today in Toowoomba in the second-division semi against Dalby.

Captain-coach David Hallman returned from injury in last weekend's convincing Cowboys win and will be better for the run.

Full-back Kev Poole has been in outstanding form this season and will be a key player along with prop Jay "Frank” Hankinson.

The winners from today will qualify for next weekend's preliminary finals against the losers of tomorrow's major semi finals.

After the finish of the season in three more weekends, the Cowboys will focus on the trophy night on September 9 and the rodeo on September 23.
