Cowboys play Cutters in memorial game
RUGBY LEAGUE: Two props new to A grade are ready for the battle between the Warwick Cowboys and Killarney Cutters for the Xylon Smith Memorial Shield on Saturday night.
The main game will start at 6.30pm and follow the under-18 game between Warwick and the Border Bushrangers and a senior game between the Cowboys and Inglewood.
Already this season, the Cowboys have enjoyed A grade and U18 wins against Aspley in Brisbane.
Josh O'Brien will start in the front row for Warwick and Lindsay Power will come off the bench.
O'Brien played in the same game last year but was mainly in reserve grade and Power is up from U18s.
"I have lost 20kg in training and want to secure an A-grade spot this season," O'Brien said.
He will run on at 120kg after doing weights and running at the Cowboys clubhouse each Monday and Wednesday, in addition to Tuesday and Thursday training.
Power, who hails from Killarney, is keen to play against mates Blake Graham and Jordan Ralph.
"It will always be tough against a country team," Power said.
Liam O'Dempsey will play fullback for Warwick and, like O'Brien and Power, likes the ring to securing a Cowboys A-grade spot.

Brothers to meet
ONE of the highlights of the match could be the match-up between the Galloway brothers, Dylan and Dion.
Dylan is back from Queensland Cup footy to play with Warwick and his brother, Dion, is again in the Cutters side after being club president last season.
Last month, Dion was top cricket player from 33 teams in the Australia Day carnival.
