Cowboys to play but soccer, cricket and netball are off

RAIN will have no impact on the Warwick Cowboys round of games against Highfields at Father Ranger Oval today.

Fans were lining up at the gate at 10.45am ready for the 11.45am under-18 game.

Meanwhile, the Queens Park football (soccer) games scheduled for today have been called off.

With cricket washed out for the day, the Cowboys senior grades had even more players available with Craig and Paul Cantwell both possible inclusions in Warwick sides. There is no C-grade game against Highfields.

The Warwick Cowboys scored a convincing win against Brothers in round 1 last Sunday at Father Ranger Oval.

The main game today against Highfields will be at 2.30pm.

It is a Warwick versus Highfields weekend with the Redbacks winning against Highfields in A-grade Aussie Rules at Reddies Oval on Saturday.

There was a full day of junior and senior Aussie Rules to start the competition season in Warwick.

Meanwhile in Stanthorpe football, the called off games between Warwick and Tenterfield are likely to be replayed later in the season.

For the first time in its one and a bit years in Stanthorpe football, Warwick was playing colts, women's and men's games on the same day.
