Cowboys to tackle Lions
AFTER a couple of weeks off, the Cowboys are ready to take on the Newtown Lions at home at Father Ranger Oval on Sunday.
The club is hoping for fine weather and a good crowd to support the boys.
Sunday is Mother's Day and the club has a free wine and cheese planned for all the mothers who, as we all know, are the unsung heroes of this world.
So come on down and show your appreciation to them.
The flood repairs and renovations to the clubhouse are starting to pick up pace and things should happen rather quickly in the coming weeks.
A big thank you to all the people who have done a lot of work behind the scenes but don't seek the headlines for doing it: Your efforts are appreciated and don't go unnoticed.
Mixed results across the board for the three teams so far with the U18s going great guns at the moment.
The Reggies have improved their playing ranks and are starting to show what they are capable of and the A graders look forward to showing some consistency in the coming weeks.
Good to see a large number of people on hand the other week to say farewell and thank you to Mark ‘Spud' Murphy for all his work during the years.
As mentioned previously, people with Spud's dedication and commitment are thin on the ground so he will be sorely missed and we wish him well. .
