Crane crashes onto building in Brisbane CBD

A construction site crane has toppled across the road and into the side of a neighbouring building in South Brisbane.

The crane has blocked Grey Street but it is understood the driver is not injured.

Four fire crews are on the scene.

Seven News reported a short time ago the driver of the crane had been rescued from the cabin.

The top of the crane has become embedded in the side of a Griffith University building.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
