KEEP it on the down low, but John Walton reckons Warwick kids are the most creative bunch he's seen.

The Kidtastic facilitator has been delivering crafty fun to kids in Southern Queensland for 18 years and he's convinced Warwick's got something special going on.

"We do this sort of stuff in lots of places and I've got to say this is collectively the most artistic bunch of kids I've come across,” Mr Walton said.

With textas and stencils in hand, Mr Walton has been helping kids express themselves through art and craft over a three-day program at Rose City Shoppingworld.

"Kidtastic is about kids of all ages having fun and using their imaginations,” he said.

The program in running from January 10-12 and will allow kids to craft their own special craft project each day.

"We had baseball caps yesterday and that was huge,” Mr Walton said.

"We had about 100 people come through.”

Some loved it so much they were back for more fun today, and one young entrepreneur was using the workshop to create merchandise for his YouTube channel.

Channelling his creativity into a funky pencil case, Elijah Farrawell's artistic talent is proof that technology doesn't sap the imagination out of kids.

The program is one last chance for unbridled creativity before kids head back to school, but the activities aren't all just frivolous fun.

With the chance to make a pencil case, baseball cap and frisbee, kids will have something useful to take home at the end of the day.

Kidtastic is a free event open to kids of all ages. One final session of frisbee-making will be held outside Woolworths in Rose City Shoppingworld tomorrow.
