Creativity for sale at new group's first pop-up shop
GET those last-minute Christmas gifts sorted while supporting artists and crafters from across the Southern Downs at a new pop-up gift shop.
New artistic group Gallery 22 will host a Christmas pop-up shop and gallery next week, featuring a wide range of creative work.
Member and photographer Helen Robinson said there would be pottery, jewellery, paintings and more on display.
"We've had some first time exhibitors come on board and it's a scary process to get your work out there," she said.
"There's two photographers and we do completely different things.
"We have people painting in different mediums, in oils and acrylic and everyone has their own style, which is great."
A coffee shop will also set up by the team at St Mark's, so visitors can stop and enjoy the artwork around them along with some homemade treats.
Mrs Robinson said the pop-up was an opportunity to back a new creative group in town.
"It's about people helping people and Warwick has always been known as a town that supports its community groups," she said.
"We're just a new community group and Warwick has not let down its groups yet."
The pop-up will open 10am-4pm from Wednesday, December 19 to Friday, December 21 and 9am-noon on Saturday, December 22.
The official launch will be on the Friday from 5.30-7.30pm, when Warwick Chamber of Commerce president Julia Keogh will open the shop - and everyone is welcome.
The group is also looking for a donor to offer a permanent gallery space.
Anyone interested in being a benefactor can phone Evan on 0409 470 392.
