Crews called to two grass fires within a few hours
FIREFIGHTERS worked to bring a vegetation under control at Broadwater from about 9.15pm last night.
A spokesman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said two crews responded to the blaze on the corner of Amiens Rd and Cannon Ck Rd, about 66km south of Warwick.
The urban fire crew and Broadwater Rural Fire Service crew worked for about an hour to bring the blaze under control.
The spokesman said there were signs a power line may have been brought down, so crews called Ergon Energy before getting to work.
The blaze was brought under control about 10pm.
The grass fire started just a few hours after firefighters were called to a grass fire on the Cunningham Highway at Coolmunda.
The spokesman said an urban crew attended the vegetation fire just after 2.30pm yesterday.
The blaze was about 10sq/m but was brought under control about 2.50pm.
