Crews of firefighters rush to grass fire in Victoria Hill

UPDATE: THE grass fire burning at the Victoria Hill district north-west of Warwick has been contained and most of the fire crews have left the scene.

At least four urban and one rural crew headed out to the blaze on Dalrymple Creek Rd, where two unoccupied vehicles were burnt out yesterday.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said the fire took to several tractor tyres which caused the black smoke.

"It made it seem bigger than it was," she said.

"Lots were sent out but many were given the stop signal before they arrived."

1.18pm: Multiple fire crews are heading to the scene of a grass fire which is believed to have re-ignited from yesterday in the Victoria Hill district north-west of Warwick.

At least four urban and one rural crew have left Warwick in the last half hour headed to Dalrymple Creek rd where two unoccupied vehicles were burnt out yesterday.

A severe fire weather warning remains current for the region.
