Crowds brave cold for Killarney Markets

KILLARNEY Country Markets relaunched Sunday, with attendees travelling from near and far to grab a bargain.

Maddy, Jack and Lyn Spencer made the trip from Applethorpe to sell fresh vegetables and a variety of pickles and sauces at their stall.

"We have radishes for $1, a range of sauces and kale for $1 a bunch," Lyn Spencer said.

"It's great for your skin."

The day included a sausage sizzle, live music from Carl Rowlands and plenty of antique, plant and food stalls.

Marie Mikkelsen was one of the market's main organisers.

"We're so happy with the crowd here," she said.

"People have even travelled as far as Toowoomba for a look."

The markets are set to be a monthly event, held on the last Sunday of every month.
