Cuppa in aid of cancer research

SILVER teapots, hand painted urns, precious fine china, if you saviour tea there is every chance something will take your fancy this morning at Warwick TAFE.

Organised by TAFE’s Jan Byrne and Leanne de Toerkenczy the display is part of their Biggest Morning Tea in aid of the Australian Cancer Council.

“We wanted to do something a little special to entice people out this morning,” Ms de Toerkenczy said.

“So we will have a range of teapots on display and if anyone has something novel they’d like to show the public, please feel free to bring contribute to our expo.

“It is just another reason for people to take the time to have a cuppa and spend a little time considering the great work of the cancer council.”

She said cancer was one of those terrifying diseases which impacted on people regardless of background.

“Tragically cancer has become one of those things which unite us all: everybody has a friend or family member who has been affected,” Ms de Toerkenczy said.

Warwick TAFE’s Teapot Display and Biggest Morning Tea will be held from 11am at Horizons Restaurant.
