Cutters cut down the Tigers

KILLARNEY held off a determined Tenterfield side to win a nail biting game 36-30 at Charlie Andrews Oval on Saturday.

Dion Galloway and John Trindall led a gallant Killarney outfit to their first win of the season.

This weekend's game against Stanthorpe is now shaping as a cracker jack game with Stanthorpe having several injuries from their weekend encounter with the Rams.

Killarney played like their 2014 Premiers tag with solid work up the middle and the classy backs out wide showing their try scoring. Tenterfield won 94-0 against an understrength Cutters in women's league tag.

A large crowd witnessed Stanthorpe winning three games from three against Wallangarra with the start of the reserve-grade competition.

The reserve grade was fast and entertaining with the skill shown from Chris Hills and Brad Crisp the difference between the sides. This will continue as a competition with Tenterfield also fielding a team.

Ladies League Tag was on the edge of your seat intensity with a 6-4 score line at half time and that was also the final score.

The A-grade game was fast and great challenges between the forward packs. Stanthorpe made enormous ground up the middle with Kyle Marsh making 20-30 metres every run.

He was well supported by Ben Staley and Brendan Perkins in a 64-8 win.
