Cyclist dies after Minden crash

A MAN has died following a serious accident between a bicycle and a car at Minden, west of Brisbane, yesterday afternoon. 

Initial police investigations indicate that around 2.20pm, the man was riding a bicycle north along Lowood-Minden Road when he collided with a vehicle, also heading north.  

The rider, a 70-year-old Prenzlau man, fell from his bike, suffering critical injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital by the Queensland Ambulance Service where he later died.

The Forensic Crash Unit will continue with investigations.
