Sixty two cyclists will pedal for cancer

SIXTY-TWO brave riders are participating in a 500km bike ride this week to help raise money for the Children's Cancer Institute of Australia.

The Lions Club of Kallangur is holding its annual ride, the Lions Club of Kallangur Children's Cancer Institute of Australia ride, this week, travelling from Warwick to Dalby and back.

President of the ride sub committee, Gordon Elledge, said he had a target in mind.

"We're aiming to raise $50,000," Mr Elledge said.

"It's a huge project for the club but we love doing it.

"Everyone donates their time, vehicles and so on.

"Of course it wouldn't be possible without the riders; they do a phenomenal job."

The riders will return to Morgan Park on Saturday.
