Cyclists rise to the challenge
CANCER awareness is a cause worth campaigning for and one worth cycling for as well.
In two straight lines 50 cyclists rode the Midi-Smiddy Challenge to raise funds for cancer at the weekend.
The crew started from Brisbane on Friday morning and headed to Toowoomba. From Toowoomba they travelled to Warwick on Saturday and then back to Brisbane yesterday.
Mater Foundation event co-ordinator Jess Ebelt said it was impressive to see the group together.
"They are such a great team with an awesome attitude and they stick together and help each other through the distance," she said.
During their stop-over the crew were treated to dinner at the Senior Citizens Centre.
