Dad and son duel

GREG and Tim Willis may have a great father-son working relationship but the same can't be said when they take to the racetrack.

The men will be among seven drivers behind the wheels of NASCAR-style trucks hitting the track this weekend for round three of the OZ Truck Championship and iRace Series at Morgan Park Raceway.

Willis Snr - Grove Juice managing director - said he and son Tim - Australian Juice Processing operations manager - hadn't held back in the workplace in order to keep things professional.

"There is a lot of family rivalry racing going on this weekend," Willis said.

"There is a fair bit of banter, anything I do; eating, drinking, breathing or anything else he thinks will make me slower. So there is a fair bit of comedic banter."

Willis said he first took on Tim in 2004 but "couldn't remember" who won.

"I expect Tim to be faster, it's a young man's sport but we old guys can have a good time," he said.

Only 15 points separates Michael Coulter from current leader Ryan Cochran in the Oz Truck series.

Gates open at 8am today and tomorrow.
