Day of fun helps fund new shed

THE generosity of the community, her family and friends overwhelmed Eileen Scott as she was presented with a bunch of flowers for her hard work to raise money for the Wildash Rural Fire Brigade.

“It’s been a big day,” Ms Scott said tearfully.

She, and partner Mick Morrison, held a Family Fun Day to summon up enough funds to buy a new shed for the brigade.

Officially opened by local member Lawrence Springborg, families were entertained by the Warwick City Band, the town crier and Aussie Quad Adventures and treated to a demonstration by the Dalveen Rural Fire Brigade.

“I really want to thank the community for their support – we have money coming in all over the place so it’s hard to know how much we’ve raised but I think we’ve done well,” Ms Scott said.
