Dead Wood floats to top in men’s volleyball grand final

VOLLEYBALL: On Monday night the Warwick Volleyball Association held its season final games in men's, women's and mixed teams.

First on the court was the ladies final between team WTF and the All Stars. The WTF team of Allyne Waters, Rachel King and Lisa Hemmings won the premiership by three sets to one.

In the men's grand final team Dead Wood took on Nads for the top spot.

Lasse Christensen, Brett Singh, Michael Kairouz and Mariann Clayton from team Dead Wood were the eventual winners taking the game three sets to two.

Warwick Volleyball Association treasurer Rachel King said the all teams performed well on the night. "Good atmosphere. All games played really well," she said.

"There was good strong challenges by all teams."

The finals marked the end of the 2015 season after 14 rounds of regular competition. The next season of Warwick volleyball will start again on February 1, 2016.

Registration for the season costs $25 per player and $5 per game.
