Debutantes make mark

THE Warwick Caledonian Society is holding its annual debutante ball on Saturday.

The glamorous event gets under way at 8pm and debutantes are due to be presented at 8.30pm.

Organiser Anne Coy said there were five young girls involved in what will be the society’s 68th event.

“It is very important for the little girls who make the commitment to make their debut. It is a very nice night for their first social outing.”

Entertainment will be provided by Toowoomba Band Cloud 9 and the Warwick and Scots PGC pipe bands.

Supper will be served after official proceedings are wrapped up.

The ball will be held at St Mary’s Hall and tickets are $35 and $25 for students.

Tickets are available from Doug Cutmore on 46613547 or Anne Coy on 0488466646.
