December karting meet at Sandy Creek Raceway
WARWICK Karting Club is gearing up for its final race meeting of the year on December 9 at Sandy Creek Raceway.
The club traditionally holds its Christmas meeting on a Saturday before members head to the Christmas party and presentation of trophies. The party will be held at Clippers Bar and Grill.
The points were close at the November meet in all classes other than the two where Warwick drivers Dave Dyson and Nic Lane scored clear wins.
There were more juniors than seniors in November.
Trots in December
DECEMBER 9 is the date when the Darling Downs Harness Racing Club will hold its Allman Park meeting on the grass.
It is sure to be a great day for families, workplace or group Christmas parties.
Leyburn rider
PAUL Hamblin is originally from Leyburn but now rides track work at the Sunshine Coast.
He hasn't retired from riding and often flies to Victoria or South Australia to ride in a jumps meeting.
Holidays
I AM on holidays for a month and will return on Christmas Eve but wish all readers greetings and God's blessings for Christmas and the New Year.
