WIRAC grandstand still awaits repairs
REPAIRS to WIRAC's grandstand, worth $70,000, are still awaiting completion.
The grandstand was fenced off late last year following advice from engineering company Cardno.
An engineer found a fault that required immediate work.
Southern Downs Regional Council Community Services director David Tuxford said the contractor fixing the grandstand had experienced delays in purchasing steel.
"We anticipate the work will be completed by mid-June," Mr Tuxford said.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and delay in rectifying the issue.
"However we needed to have a comprehensive assessment of the fault and then a permanent solution devised."
