Designated Drinkers ready for Warwick touch grand finals
AFTER knocking-off the competition leaders in the second week of finals, the Designated Drinkers will go into tonight's grand final of the Warwick Touch Football Association chasing a perfect finals run.
After 16 rounds of regular competition the Drinkers finished in the middle of the pack but a surge at the end of the season has seen them pitted against team Live Action for the top spot.
The Live Action team finished second overall but will be looking to go one better come game time tonight.
In an exciting finish to the semi finals last week, both matches finished with a draw at the end of regular time.
The Designated Drinkers defeated the Hairy's Hobos 5-4 while Live Action scored in extra "drop-off" time to win 6-4 over team Unleashed.
Tonight's grand finals begin with the D and C grades at 6.30pm followed by the A and B grade games at 7.30pm.
There will be a barbecue and drinks available at the touch grounds and award presentations for the teams following the final games.
