Disaster help for businesses to be discussed at meeting

A MEETING to provide information on the current disaster assistance scheme will be held in Warwick on Tuesday.

It will be an opportunity for small businesses and primary production enterprises to ask questions about the assistance available.

Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority personnel will discuss the grants and loans available for flood-affected enterprises in the Southern Downs in line with the following points.

  • Grants of up to $25,000 are available to small businesses and primary producers. These funds are to assist with the immediate resumption of business.
  • Loans of up to $250,000 are available for small businesses and primary producers, to cover costs that are insufficiently covered by the grant.
  • A loan/grant package of up to $650,000 is available to business, small business and primary producers where the enterprise has experienced extreme damage.
