DIY in our Warwick Community Victory Garden

WORK is coming along in leaps and bounds at the Warwick Community Victory Garden, with the project's directors now calling on people to head along to the garden and participate in a community DIY Workshop.

The workshop is a way for everyone to learn a new skill and get involved in a community exercise.

Stage Two of the community garden, the establishment of the Heritage Rose Garden will commenced on Tuesday, with the crew from Bunnings Warwick conducting the DIY workshop.

Warwick Collective president Julia Keogh, who has been working hard on stage one of the project, is very excited about the upcoming DIY workshop.

"What better way is there to get the community involved but with a DIY workshop?" she said.

"People don't have to have any prior knowledge. Just show up and the good people from Bunnings will show us how it's done properly and then we can complete the job.

"It's all about being involved and learning some skills to take back home and use in your own garden."

Members of the public are invited to join in the workshop, which will be held on Tuesday at 10am at the Warwick Community Victory Garden - located at the Southern Downs Steam Railway on Hamilton St.
