Doco tells story of campdrafting
THE Warwick Showgrounds played host to the launch on Wednesday night of a major new documentary looking into a uniquely Australian sport - campdrafting, of course.
Following a special Queensland versus New South Wales draft event, filmmaking couple Ian Withnall and Sharen Kenny were joined by cast and crew from the Great Australian Campdraft production for the launch.
Those at the Matt Geraghty Bar had the chance to see a preview trailer of the documentary, a version of which will air on ABC1 on Sunday.
The pair set out on the campdrafting trail for two years, gathering footage from events across the country in a bid to show the world the spirit of the sport.
"We were looking for the untold story behind the sport - something a little bit different," Ms Kenny said last week.
She also said she was thrilled to be able to launch their film during the Warwick Gold Cup.
A short version of the film will be premiered on ABC1 Landline on Sunday at noon and the doco will be available online from November 5 at http://www.palatineproductions.com.au
