Donation puts porridge on menu
HEADSPACE Warwick has received a generous donation from the Women of Warwick group.
Manager Sophia McLucas plans to put a portion of the money into a youth breakfast and more.
"We have had some tell us they have never eaten porridge," she said.
The headspace team will decide on where the rest of the donation will be invested at a later date.
"It all goes towards supporting mental health of young people," Mrs Lucas said.
The Women of Warwick event organisers said donations like these had become a regular occurrence.
"The profits from each event go towards a charity of the guest speakers choice," WOW committee member Julia Keogh said.
Ms McLucas and the other staff were extremely pleased with the donation.
"We want to say a massive thankyou for all their great work," she said.
The latest WOW event, titled A Spoonful of WOW is planned in coming weeks.
Already sold out, the tickets were snapped up within the first 11 hours.
However organisers have encouraged anyone interested to sign up to the waiting list.
Committee member Nicola Kane said those on the waiting list are often lucky enough to receive a ticket.
