Donna gets keys to Mirage

THERE could only be one winner in the Warwick Daily News Win A Car competition and at 1pm on Saturday that person was Donna Barnett of Killarney.

Supported by Graeme Collins Automotive and Rose City Shoppingworld the competition drew well in excess of 1000 entries.

GCA dealer principal David Cassels reached into the boot of the Mitsubishi Mirage just on 1pm and a hushed silence descended as Daily News staff checked the entry he drew out, with editor Jeremy Sollars then announcing the lucky winner.

"The support from Graeme Collins Automotive for this wonderful promotion has been greatly appreciated, along with that offered by Rose City Shoppingworld," Mr Sollars said.

"The Daily News would like to thank both of those partners and heartily congratulates Donna on her win.

"We also thank our staff for their efforts in running the promotion, especially our office and marketing manager Lara Hemmings, and staff Mindi Devine, Simone Abood and Lisa Hemmings for their help on the day."

Daily News marketing manager Lara Hemmings said the winner was shaking with shock and excitement after the announcement.

"She said she didn't put a heap of entries in but obviously had the lucky one, " Ms Hemmings said.
