Don't be fooled by sports investment schemes
THE Office of Fair Trading is warning people to be wary of sports investment schemes.
Fair Trading executive director Brian Bauer said sports investment schemes or computerised gambling programs were promoted as "get rich quick" schemes.
"These programs supposedly predict accurate results, usually of sporting events, and promise high returns, Mr Bauer said.
"Once you've paid your money, you'll quickly realise the systems do not work out as promised, don't deliver the expected returns and the supplier won't assist."
