Unlicensed driver busted again behind the wheel
MOTORISTS are landing themselves in court and inching closer to jail for repeatedly ignoring directions to stay off the roads.
Warwick man Frank Anthony Lo Giudice was warned by the magistrate he faced time behind bars if he continued to drive while unlicensed.
The Warwick Magistrates Court last week heard that despite having never held a full licence and a previous court appearance, the 34-year-old was busted behind the wheel twice in a matter of days.
Police spotted Lo Giudice driving on Palmerin St on October 10 and intercepted him five days later when he was nabbed driving yet again.
Magistrate Roger Stark questioned the Warwick man as to whether laziness was behind him never having sat the test and urged him to get a licence or face jail if he returned to court.
Lo Giudice pledged he would get his licence after completing his one-month disqualification. He was also fined $100.
Ballandean woman Krystal Jane Fulmer has also been warned of time behind bars after ignoring police warnings to not drive.
The 23-year-old's licence was suspended for driving 40km/h when police intercepted her while driving in December.
The court heard the young woman had been given a warning only a month earlier.
She was last week fined $750 and disqualified from driving for six months.
