Drama comes alive
WILLIAM Shakespeare's The Tempest leaves current movie plots for dead, despite being written more than 400 years ago.
Or so says School of Total Education senior drama teacher Allyra Greening.
"It has got everything. Love, despair, murderous intent and ultimately forgiveness," she said.
SOTE's senior drama students will perform the drama in the new Vijayadev Yogendra Auditorium on Friday and Saturday nights, with a matinee performance for school students at 10.30am Thursday.
"We have some seasoned performers, full of experience and confidence from their roles in Peter Pan and the musical Joseph last year," Mrs Greening said.
"We also have a new group of drama students coming through."
Student Mollie Devine - who will look after lighting - said the technology in the new auditorium was "amazing".
"I will say no more," she said.
"You will have to come and see it."
