Dressage takes limelight

THIS Sunday precision and technical excellence will be on display as the Warwick Show hosts its dressage competition.

The event will be held at the Warwick Showgrounds and is free for the public to enjoy.

Steward for the horse section Sue Bondfield said there were 18 events starting at 8am and finishing at about 4pm.

"We have associate dressage, which is a qualifier for inter-school, and is open to anyone that is a registered EFA rider," Mrs Bondfield said.

"We also have unofficial dressage which means anyone can enter. There is a very big diversity of riders and horses coming in from Brisbane, Dalby, Goondiwindi and all directions. I'd say we are looking at at least 250 entires for the individual tests."

Mrs Bondfield said Sunday would be a day everyone could enjoy with conditions looking better than they were last year.

"It is free to watch and there will be a canteen run by the Warwick Pony Club," she said.

The official entry date has passed but Mrs Bondfield said she is happy to accept late entries today.

All entry forms can be found at warwickshow.com.au and should be handed in at the Show office.
